How to read a fragrance pyramid
A fragrance is not a snapshot but a story that unfolds over time. The “fragrance pyramid” describes the three phases in which the notes reveal themselves on the skin: top, heart and base.
Top notes
They are the first impression, the one you smell right after spraying. Fresh and volatile — citrus, light spices, aromatic notes — they last a few minutes and are there to seduce at first contact.
Heart notes
They emerge after a few minutes and form the soul of the fragrance: flowers, fruit, spices. This is the part you will wear the longest throughout the day.
Base notes
They are the signature that lingers on the skin for hours: woods, amber, musk, vanilla, oud. They determine longevity and sillage — what others remember about you.
From theory to choice
On every product page you'll find the pyramid and the scent profile — longevity, sillage, season — to instantly understand whether a fragrance is right for you. Let the notes guide you.
